My plans for sleepyseed were to post on a weekly basis about life with our newly arrived little seedling and keep a diary of our journey into parenthood. Well, so much for those plans. I guess I got caught up in the living and forgot about the blogging.
The past two years and a half have been the most intense, inspiring and challenging of my life so far. So much learning, so much loving, so much living. I am a bit disappointed with myself for not posting throughout this time, as I am sure it would have been something for us to treasure further down the track. Anyhow, I am ready to make up for it now. So, here I come!
I'm fascinated by the work of Su Blackwell. Her paper sculptures are so delicate and beautiful. Stories emerge from book pages, very inspiring!
I've just discovered Ivan Gantschev's work through and I'm loving the colours and simplicity of his watercolours. This one comes from 'The Pear Tree'. 1973, Gakken.
Here are a few things that have inspired me lately: shadows in a rainy afternoon, wood with history and a beautiful tree (banksia I think).
